Bread Pudding
“Bread Pudding,” is a recipe short story about an elderly woman eating what she believes will be her last meal at her favorite buffet-style restaurant. She reminisces about her favorite dessert and its secret ingredient. Laugh-out-loud moments with a former cook who desires to pass her secrets on to another cook, a young man she’s befriended at the restaurant.
As a semi-finalist, “Bread Pudding” was one of the top ten stories in the Adult Category of Write Michigan’s Short Story Contest of 2023.
