Fill this chart in using a typical week, eliminating appointments unless they are weekly appointments week after week.
The goal is to see the forest rather than the trees. To see an entire week versus just a day.
Only then can you determine your must-do activities (meals, sleep, work, family, e.g.) versus filler time (scrolling, TV, socializing, e.g.)
When I filled this out the year I was so busy, where I didn’t think I had any real writing time, I discovered I had 35 scattered hours in small chunks of time and chunks of time unaccounted for. 35 hours is nearly a work week! As a result, that’s the year I wrote two books, published them, and wrote first drafts for three screenplays.
